ABOUT
Matt has worked as a freelance lighting designer and programmer for regional theatre companies such as The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, The Hangar Theatre Company, and the Ivoryton Playhouse. Matt was a 2021 ETC Fred Foster Mentee, received Special Recognition in the 2021 Claypaky Shine A Light Competition and was a 2021 Hangar Theatre Company Lighting Design Fellow.
Matt holds an M.F.A in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Marymount Manhattan College.
As a lighting designer Matt aspires to leave a lasting impression on all audience members. Matt views lighting as a critical aspect of storytelling. He approaches his design process thoughtfully, and with an emphasis on capturing every detail.
Matt’s other interests including sailing, hiking, reading Stephen King novels and cooking.
